This special Forum will explore how artificial intelligence is beginning to reshape the collector car world—from valuation tools and restoration guidance to digital archives and provenance research—while raising important concerns about authenticity and accuracy. The panel will explore how the industry can balance AI innovation with responsible stewardship to protect the integrity, heritage, and long-term value of historically significant automobiles.

Terry L. Karges - Moderator

Terry Karges has served as Executive Director of the Petersen Automotive Museum for the past 14 years, being instrumental in its transformation into the world’s best automotive museum. Terry has extensive experience in the automotive, sports, and entertainment industry. He has held key leadership roles at Roush Performance, Cord Automotive, Oakland Stompers/NASL Soccer Team, SeaWorld, San Diego Wild Animal Park, Disneyland and elsewhere. Throughout his career, he has been sought after across industries for his impressive record of success in building businesses, increasing sales, promoting brands, building strategic alliances, and negotiating partnerships. His entrepreneurial talents were evidenced by the success of Karges Sport Marketing and the Karges Sport Formula Atlantic Racing Team. Terry’s interests and activities are just as varied and expansive as his career. He is a principal at MotoAmerica, the North American Motorcycle Road Racing Championship Series, and has enjoyed racing both automobiles and motorcycles. He considers golf a work in progress.

Miles Collier

From a family that helped pioneer American sports car racing, Miles C. Collier developed a lifelong view of automobiles as machines to be driven, studied, and preserved. He became a leading voice in advancing a preservation-first philosophy that prioritizes originality and historical integrity, helping reshape standards across the field. He founded Revs Institute (Revs) in Naples, Florida, now a leading center for automotive research, and was honored with the Automotive Hall of Fame’s Distinguished Service Citation in 2026.

McKeel Hagerty

McKeel Hagerty is the Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of Hagerty (NYSE: HGTY), a company built by drivers for drivers, protecting 2.7 million vehicles in the United States, Canada and the UK. In 2016–2017, McKeel was elected by his CEO peers to serve as the international board chair for YPO, a global leadership organization with more than 38,000 extraordinary chief executives from across the globe. McKeel continues to work with YPO as an ambassador, speaker, moderator and strategic consultant. McKeel is enthusiastic about entrepreneurship and helping young leaders emerge. In 2023, McKeel and his wife Soon Hagerty launched the Boundless Futures Foundation with a focus to empower, embrace and elevate aspiring female entrepreneurs. He was also a co-founder of Grand Ventures, a Michigan-based venture capital firm providing emerging companies with early-stage capital and strategic support. He serves in many board and advisory roles but is especially proud of being a founding member of the advisory board for McPherson College in McPherson, Kansas. He also serves as a board member for the Petersen Automotive Museum. All of these efforts culminate in the Hagerty Drivers Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting, preserving, and celebrating automotive heritage at its highest levels.

Dan Kahn

Dan Kahn is an entrepreneur, bestselling author, and award-winning marketing strategist. As founder and CEO of Kahn Media, he has built one of the nation’s leading marketing and PR agencies, helping brands grow through authentic storytelling and modern communications strategies. He also serves as CEO of TREAD Agency, the group’s outdoor-focused division. Dan was named SEMA Person of the Year in 2019 and is the author of the bestselling book The New Rules of the Road: How to Navigate the Rapidly Changing Marketing Landscape. Under his leadership, Kahn Media has been recognized multiple times on the Inc. 5000 list and as one of the region’s top PR agencies.

Ralph Gilles

Ralph Gilles is one of the automotive industry’s most influential design leaders, shaping the look, feel, and emotional resonance of vehicles that define global mobility. As Chief Design Officer and a member of the Stellantis Leadership Team, he oversees worldwide design strategy across Stellantis’ portfolio of 14 iconic brands. Ralph’s career at Stellantis spans more than three decades. He joined the organization in 1992 as a designer at Chrysler Corporation and quickly distinguished himself through a rare combination of creative instinct, technical rigor, and business acumen. Over the years, he has held a wide range of senior leadership positions, guiding design and product strategy for some of the industry’s most recognizable brands. A lifelong car enthusiast, Ralph brings an authentic passion for motorsports and automotive culture to everything he does. He enjoys time at the track, go-karting, and following Formula 1, and has personally competed in events such as the Targa Newfoundland Rally, the Car and Driver One Lap of America, and the SRT Viper Cup Series. He is also a respected judge at premier Concours d’Elegance events, including Pebble Beach, Amelia Island, and the EyesOn Design car show. His honors include the 2023 EyesOn Design Lifetime Achievement Award. He continues to shape the future of automotive design with a blend of creative vision, strategic leadership, and deep respect for the culture and craft of the automobile.

Paul Russell

Paul Russell and Company has been specializing in the preservation of 1960s and earlier European classics since 1978. Paul has been a Chief Class Judge at Pebble Beach, Cavallino Classic, The Amelia, Villa d’Este and others. He is the National Advisory Board Chair for the McPherson College Automotive Restoration Program; and is an active member of the International Chief Judge Advisory Group (ICJAG) and the International Advisory Council for the Preservation of the Ferrari Automobile (IAC/PFA). In 2016 he was awarded an Honorary Doctorate of Applied Arts from McPherson College.

Attendee expressly assumes all risks incidental to and associated with attendance at the Event.
