Parking & Directions
17-Mile Drive will be closed to general tourist traffic on Saturday and Sunday, of Pebble Beach Automotive Week. Only residents, guests of residents, and attendees of Pebble Beach events will be allowed access through the gates onto 17-Mile Drive.
DRIVING DIRECTIONS
From San Francisco or San Jose: Take Highway 101 South to the Highway 156/Monterey Peninsula exit, follow Highway 156 to Castroville/Highway 1 South exit, and then follow the directions “From Santa Cruz or Monterey.”
From Los Angeles: Take Highway 101 North to the Monterey Peninsula exit. Turn right on South Sanborn Road, which soon becomes East Blanco Road. Turn left onto South Main Street/Highway 68 West and continue to follow Highway 68 West to Highway 1. Merge onto Highway 1 South, and then follow the directions “From Santa Cruz or Monterey.”
From Santa Cruz or Monterey: Take Highway 1 South to the 68 West (Pebble Beach/Pacific Grove) exit.
AT THE PEBBLE BEACH GATE
Prior to Concours Sunday: Upon exiting Highway 1 at the roundabout take the second exit and bear right to the Pebble Beach entry gate. Then follow the instructions of gate guards, traffic guides and signs directing you to the nearest Concours parking location.
On Concours Sunday: Upon exiting Highway 1, follow parking signs.
DAY OF SHOW PARKING AND SHUTTLE SERVICE
Event Parking and Shuttle Service: Event tickets include free parking and shuttle service from within Pebble Beach to the show field. As you enter Pebble Beach, follow the signs for General Spectator Parking and the instructions of traffic controllers. There are not specified shuttle locations when you arrive at the Concours. Upon entering 17-Mile Drive you will be directed to a parking spot along the road, and trailing shuttles will pick you up wherever you are told to park. It is important that you follow the traffic instructors’ parking directions as the shuttle buses have a specific route that they must follow.
Please keep in mind the fact that the Concours is a one-day-only event held in what is primarily a residential area with narrow, winding roads. Please be alert, yet patient, as you are directed to parking, and please respect the privacy and private property of residents.
Provisions for the Physically Challenged: Special parking and shuttle services are available to those who are physically challenged. Persons in authorized vehicles will be directed to convenient parking areas and provided with complimentary shuttle service to the show field.
Carmel-by-the-Sea Shuttles and Parking: Carmel-by-the-Sea Shuttle Service is available for a fee on Concours Sunday. The first shuttle to the Concours will depart from the front of Carmel Plaza on Ocean Avenue at 8 am. The last shuttle will depart from Pebble Beach to return to Carmel at 6 pm. The wristbands required to ride the shuttle can be purchased in advance from the Carmel Chamber of Commerce Visitor Center (on San Carlos between 5th and 6th) or at the bus stop in front of Carmel Plaza on Concours Sunday. Last year over 500 people used this shuttle service.
Paid parking is available at Carmel Plaza (enter on Mission between Ocean and 7th Avenues). Free parking is available at the Vista Lobos lot (at 3rd and Junipero Avenues) and at the Sunset Center (on 8th Avenue between Mission and San Carlos).
