Join us to hear from and celebrate fascinating women who are making their mark on the car world—whether at a concours, track, road rally, or with their own car collection. Learn about what drives their passion and joy, how it started, how they express their interest, what they believe their legacy is, and how they’ve encouraged other women to own/collect/enjoy their cars.

Lyn St. James
Lyn St. James is a legendary racer who has competed in fifteen Indycar races, including seven Indianapolis 500's, is the second of nine women who have raced in the Indianapolis 500's, and was the first woman to win Indy 500 Rookie of the Year. She has competed, has victories, and set speed records on racetracks around the globe, including the 24 Hours of Daytona, 12 Hours of Sebring, and 24 Hours of LeMans.
Lyn is a Past President of the Women's Sports Foundation, currently serves on the ACCUS board, is the North American Regional Representative on the FIA Women in Motorsports Commission, and serves on the appeals council for NASCAR and IndyCar. Automotive News selects her as one of the top 100 Women in the Automotive Industry and Sports Illustrated for Women as one of the Top 100 Athletes of the 20th Century. She is a sought-after motivational speaker.
Cindy Sisson is a renowned business, sales, and marketing executive who has enjoyed a distinguished career that encompasses the world of Fortune 500 companies, professional sports, nonprofits, entrepreneurship, global events, and successful public-private partnerships.
In September of 2020, she launched GSEvents, bringing decades of marketing, operational, experiential, and branding expertise to life. GSEvents flagship offering, Women Shifting Gears, exemplifies the mission to amplify women’s voices and participation in the automotive culture.
Before GSEvents, Cindy consulted with companies as their Super Connector leveraging her vast array of contacts to connect high-level decision-makers with a primary focus on the automotive/motorsports industry.
Renee Brinkerhoff, the 65-year-old racer and philanthropist, has traveled the world for one cause – to rescue children around the globe from human trafficking. Through her car racing and fundraising arms, Valkyrie Racing/Valkyrie Gives, she is challenging the global community to take part in her $1mm-dollar mission – a philanthropic effort that coincides with her own endurance conquest to complete six rallies on seven continents for a total of 20,000 miles in a vintage Porsche 356 racecar – bringing her message on a global journey. Her final frontier will be this winter in Antarctica, where Renee takes on a final 356 miles on ice and attempts a land-speed record on the blue ice at Union Glacier.
Jacque Beck Connor, born in Boulder, Colorado, and attended Colorado State University. Jacque is a co-founder of "It's All About the Girls," a biennial vintage car rally for women supporting charities in Europe and the United States. Together with her husband Chip, a collector, racer, Concours judge, and member of the FIA Senate, Jacque has extensive involvement in the collecting and motorsports communities.
Jacque has extensive involvement in local and international charities and community organizations, focusing on special needs education. Jacque served on the executive committee of F.O.C.U.S., a Hong Kong-based, pan-Asia organization providing parents, educators, and healthcare professionals support to promote public awareness of learning differences, special learning disabilities, and ADHD.
Jacque resides in Hong Kong with her husband, William E. (Chip) Connor, and is the mother of three sons, Will, Sam, and Ben.
Merle Mullin, a graduate of UCLA with a B.A. in English Literature, has enjoyed a lengthy career as an expressionistic figurative painter, having shown her work in many venues, including the Newport Harbor Art Museum and the LA County Museum of Art. She enjoys showing, driving, and racing vintage cars, along with her husband, Peter. She is a co-founder/co-organizer of a biennial vintage car rally for women, “It’s all about the Girls” an exciting, much-publicized event in which 60 women from 14 countries drive 30 collectible (fast) vintage cars in beautiful, rural locations in the world. In addition to female camaraderie, this rally has successfully raised a great deal of money for important, not-for-profit causes.
Lisa Taylor is the owner of Flying L Racing and has been driving Porsche 911s for 40 years. In 2009 she and Tom Ridings, a professional race car driver, started dating, and she began Flying L Racing. Tom is a seven-time National record holder in Alcohol funny cars and Funny Fuel cars for 20 years.
Lisa and Tom raced every race track in California in Porsches, Ferraris, McLarens, and Lamborghini's. It was time to join BBi Autosport and Betim Berisha to purchase Lucy! The fastest Porsches to run Pikes Peak International Hill Climb. Lucy still holds the record and got another 1st place this year in the Pikes Peak Open.
Lisa is rumored to be the top women Porsche buyer in the world. She is known as the Queen of Paint to Sample Porsches, with two more arriving this year. She is the only woman to have six PEC LA delivers and eight by the end of 2021! Lisa is one of four women invited into the R Gruppe, consisting of 300 men owning '73 and older modified Porsches. She has run various Racetracks in her '73 Porsche against all the guys. She turned her horse barn at her Flying L Ranch into a Barnage to store all of her collection with her boyfriend, Tom.
